The St. Michael’s Teachers’ Training Institute is not just an
ordinary
institute busy in earning money for profit; it is a unique and
noble
venture of the Diocese of Durgapur. This Institute would cater
to the needs of the mediocre students of the provinces of
Burdwan and Bankura, where fewer opportunities are available to
them in other institutes. Our Institute would like to give a
systematic and a value based education and further explicable
opportunities, which will ultimately prepare good citizens for
our wonderful country.
The holy inaugural ceremony of this Institute has been arranged
for on
Saturday, 2nd June 2007, at 5.00 p.m. The occasion will be
graced by the revered presence of The Rev. Dr. Enos Das Pradhan,
General Secretary, Church of North India Synod, who shall unveil
the plaque and inaugurate St. Michael’s Teachers’ Training
Institute.
Institute is affiliated under Burdwan Universityand to follow the courseware as prescribed. Admission will be done as per the formalities laid by the B.U. Eligibility for enrollment - through selection procedure as conducted by Burdwan University - requirement - as per NCTE norms.
Arrangements for practice teaching has been made with ten schools following the different curriculum of the Examination boards as C.I.S.C.E, C.B.S.E., W.B.S.E. & W.B.H.S.C.E., within the distance in and around 12 kms from the institution,with the due approval letters from the school authorities.
Additional facilities to be included - separate Hostel for girls and boys, canteen, entertainment and medical facilities.
